內容簡介
With its ongoing example of a company developing software for parking lot pay stations, this text is for use in courses with a strong emphasis on practical software development. Techniques presented are based on requirements often found in the software industry, and emphasis is on helping students understand why a given technique is required. Part I overviews the agile development process, reliability and testing, and flexibility and maintainability. The next sections present core practices, concepts, and tools for designing flexible and reliable software, using the ongoing case example. The book then provides a design pattern catalogue. Two final projects require students to develop large systems through a set of assignments. Other learning features include review questions, exercises and suggested solutions, and definition boxes, plus an index of sidebars and key points. A companion web site includes code for the book’s examples and projects. Students should have experience with Java, C#, or other object-oriented languages, and should be familiar with UML class and sequence diagrams.
